Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product, design, operations, and engineering teams to deliver value and exceptional user experiences.
- Own and ship end-to-end reliable, scalable, and maintainable software for a peer-to-peer payment app.
- Design and build a cloud-native platform focusing on monitoring, observability, security, scalability, elasticity, and testing.
- Improve CI/CD workflows to reduce time-to-market for new features.
- Code review and mentorship for other engineers.
- Contribute to shaping the engineering culture by introducing best practices and knowledge-sharing.
Requirements:
- Ownership mentality and team player.
- Curiosity and eagerness to grow.
- Ability to define and communicate technical and design requirements effectively.
- Proficiency in writing clean, high-quality, testable, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Strong data-driven thinking and customer focus.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Qualifications:
- Experience in developing software, particularly systems handling financial transactions.
- Proficiency in Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, or Kafka.
- Experience in shipping and maintaining complex backends.
- Knowledge of outage management or security.
- Willingness to live in or relocate to the UAE.
