Work culture

We expect all our colleagues to be available for core working hours and trust that we'll each deliver for Careem and get the needed work done at a time that fits with other commitments. Sometimes we work nights and weekends to meet a tight deadline or accelerate our impact.

Remote policy

In 2020, Careem became a Remote-first company, offering our colleagues the chance to permanently work remotely. As we continue to grow, we're focusing on hiring awesome Tech talent from all over the world in 2022, and expanding that to more roles in the near future.

Vacation & PTO

We follow the modern time off and where our employees have unlimited leave. Colleagues take at least 25 days leave each year and trusted to take more when possible in alignment with their line managers.

Primary Language

At Careem, English serves as the primary language of communication, ensuring clarity and effective collaboration across our diverse team. This linguistic consistency fosters a seamless and inclusive work environment, contributing to the overall success of our global operations.

While proficiency in Arabic is not a mandatory requirement at Careem, we highly value and appreciate linguistic diversity within our team.
