About:
- Lokalise seeks a Platform Engineering Manager to lead the platform team, ensuring scalable and reliable infrastructure for product development.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience as Manager of Platform/SRE teams.
- Previous SRE/DevOps/Platform/Cloud Engineer experience.
- People-centric approach with a track record of team development.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution, negotiation, and building strong relationships.
- Agile development methodologies experience, such as Kanban.
- Skills in roadmap planning, execution, and measuring engineering excellence.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and related technologies.
- Incident management and on-call responsibilities experience.
- Familiarity with delivering infrastructure as code, using containers and Kubernetes in production.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the platform engineering team, focusing on career development and performance management.
- Champion a culture of engineering excellence, optimizing processes for efficiency.
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding processes to build a top-tier team.
- Empower team engineers by setting a strategic vision and guiding platform architecture.
- Create quarterly delivery plans and ensure efficient execution.
- Foster collaboration between Product and Engineering teams to achieve business goals.
- Act as incident commander on incident management and on-call responsibilities.
- Engage in strategic relationships with key vendors and service providers.
Advantageous:
- Certification in Kubernetes, AWS, or related cloud technologies.
- Experience with other Cloud Services such as GCP and Azure.
- Familiarity with modern monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Graylog.
- Experience in managing fully remote teams.
- Work experience in the Localization industry.
