Software Engineer

Role Overview: As a Software Developer at Chalhoub Group, you will collaborate with the automation team to build and modify software, enhancing client, customer, and employee experiences. This role requires a team player with a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for continual learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and implement intuitive tools exceeding the group's requirements.
• Use agile engineering practices and software development technologies to create efficient solutions.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
• Collaborate with the transformation lead on timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
• Consistently produce quality work with minimal guidance.
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
• Contribute as a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business process automation solutions.
• Expertise in programming languages: Python, C/C++, Java.
• Proficiency in relational (SQL) and NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra) databases.
• Experience with frontend/backend technologies (e.g., Angular, Django), API development, and integration.
• Familiarity with unit testing, debugging tools, and RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Automate).
• Knowledge of Git, code refactoring, design patterns, continuous deployment, scalable applications, and application security.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
• Community contributions (Open source work, GitHub, Stack Overflow).
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (Docker).
